Every magnet has two poles. Surrounding one side with a steel cup redirects that magnetic path toward the exposed firearm-facing side.
Four mounting screws spread around the outside can make installation difficult on narrow or curved surfaces. The Handi-Holster uses a much more compact mounting area.
The mounting arrangement needs only a narrow one-inch-on-center area rather than four widely spaced outside corners.
The compact footprint makes it easier to find a usable, secure area on modern vehicle interiors and other mounting locations.
Mounting through the magnetic assembly avoids the four-corner look copied by many ordinary magnetic holders.

The correct hardware depends on the mounting material, its thickness and what is located behind it. Instead of charging you for a bag of parts you will probably throw away, you purchase only the proper hardware for your installation.

Place the compatible pistol against the protected magnetic surface so it is supported in the Handi-Holster.
The racking channel retains the slide while the pistol is pushed forward using the stronger motion of the arm.
The magnetic position and mounting arrangement allow the pistol to be tipped away from the magnet for removal.
Select fasteners appropriate for the mounting surface and install the Handi-Holster securely. Test the completed installation using an unloaded firearm. Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, keep the trigger protected from unintended contact and follow the firearm manufacturer’s safety instructions. The Handi-Holster is not a substitute for secure firearm storage.
